This article explains the Prospect Search feature

Updated over 8 months ago

Overview

Perlon AI's Prospect Search lets you use a variety of filters to start searching for the ideal set of prospects utilising our database of more than 830,000,000 contacts.

To be able search and add the prospects to your campaign you must have Credits. Depending on your contract you might have a number of Credits already included from the get go. Alternatively, you can always reach out to us and purchase your Credits directly.

Filters Explained

You can filter by one or multiple terms at a time. Each filter lets you add additional terms as well. We recommend starting your search with broader terms and slowly narrow it down by adding additional filters until you are satisfied with the results.

Adding too few filters can result in a wide variety of prospects that might appear too general and non specific to your campaign, however adding too many filters at once runs the risk of filtering out too many potential prospects and potentially missing out on suitable leads.

All in all, we suggest playing around with the Prospect Search filters and saving multiple filter groups before deciding on the final prospect list and adding them to your campaign.

First Name

Lets you add a first name filter. Once applied, only prospects with the specified first name will appear in the search results. For example, adding “Sam” will only return prospects with this exact name.

Last Name

Lets you add a last name filter. Once applied, only prospects with the specified last name will appear in the search results. For example, adding “Smith” will only return prospects with this exact surname.

Location

Lets you narrow down your prospect search by the location of the person. Specifying a country or a region will only display results from the selected location. We recommend running this filter on a Country level for better results.

Job Title

Lets you both include and exclude specific job titles from your prospect search. For example, we can include all prospects with a “CEO” job title and exclude prospects with a “Specialist” title.

NOTE: Searching by Job Title is very specific and could exclude too many potential leads. We recommend using Seniority and/or Department filters instead. If you do want to use the Job Title filter, make sure to add exact titles or add a variety of similar titles to cover all the possibilities eg. Some companies might have different titles for what is fundamentally the same role: ‘Head of Product’, ‘Product Director’, ‘VP Product’ etc.

Seniority

Lets you refine the seniority level of your prospects depending on the needs and aim of the campaign you are running.

Department

Lets you narrow down your search by a specific department of any given company that better aligns with your campaign.

Company

Lets you both include and exclude companies by their name. For accurate results make sure to spell the company name correctly.

Company Location

Lets you narrow down the prospect search by the company location. We recommend utilising the other location filter instead to ensure that only the people and not the company itself are correctly targeted by the search.

Company Size

Lets you define the company size from a small startup to an enterprise business and anywhere in between.

Industry

Lets you pick a specific industry or multiple industries available in our database. All industries are listed alphabetically.

Revenue

Allows you to define the company revenue of your potential prospects.

Key Words

Lets you both include and exclude specific key words from your search. We do not recommend adding or removing too many key words from the search as it could affect potential results. This filter works best in tandem with the Industry filter allowing you even greater control over the results of your search.

By clicking this button you can clear off the previously selected filters. You will see a total number of filters currently active next to the button.
