Overview
Perlon can automatically sync campaign activity back to your CRM, helping your sales team keep prospect records up to date without manual data entry.
When Sync to CRM is enabled, outreach activity is recorded against your CRM contacts as prospects move through your campaigns.
Enabling CRM Sync
CRM Sync can be enabled when uploading prospects to a campaign. Once enabled, Perlon will:
Create new CRM records where needed.
Update existing records where possible.
Record campaign activity throughout the prospect's journey.
Note: CRM Sync is enabled on a per-import basis. You can choose whether to enable it each time you add prospects to a campaign.
What gets synced?
Depending on your CRM, Perlon can sync a range of campaign activity, including:
Email activity
Email engagement is automatically recorded, including:
Emails sent
Opens
Link clicks
Replies
Bounces
Automatic replies
Unsubscribes
Where supported, a copy of the sent email is also stored on the prospect's CRM record.
LinkedIn activity
LinkedIn engagement can also be recorded, including:
Connection requests
Messages
InMails
Voice notes
Profile visits
Post interactions
This provides additional visibility into outreach that happens outside of email.
WhatsApp activity
If WhatsApp is used within your campaign, message activity and replies can also be synced back to your CRM where supported.
Phone calls
Calls made through Perlon are recorded with details such as:
Call outcome
Call duration
Notes added by the caller
This helps maintain a complete history of conversations with each prospect.
Warm leads
When a prospect is marked as a Warm Lead, that status is also synced to your CRM, allowing your sales team to prioritise engaged prospects more easily.
Creating new CRM records
If a prospect doesn't already exist in your CRM, Perlon can automatically create a new record when CRM Sync is enabled. If a matching record already exists, Perlon updates the existing record instead of creating a duplicate.
The exact type of record created depends on your CRM:
CRM | Record created |
HubSpot | Contact |
Salesforce | Lead |
Pipedrive | Person |
Zoho CRM | Contact |
What happens if CRM Sync isn't enabled?
If CRM Sync is disabled:
Campaign activity remains within Perlon.
New CRM records aren't created.
Existing CRM records aren't updated automatically.
You can continue running campaigns as normal, but activity won't be written back to your CRM.
