Overview
Do Not Contact Sync helps prevent outreach to contacts and companies that shouldn't receive campaign communications.
When enabled, Perlon regularly checks your CRM and automatically updates your workspace with the latest contacts and companies that should be excluded from outreach.
This helps reduce manual administration and ensures your campaigns remain aligned with your CRM.
Before you begin
To use Do Not Contact Sync:
Your CRM must be connected.
You must be a workspace administrator.
Set up Do Not Contact Sync
Go to Settings.
Select CRM.
Open the Do Not Contact Sync section.
Choose the exclusion rules you'd like to use.
Review the sync summary.
Click Review and Sync.
Once the initial sync has completed successfully, your selected exclusion rules will become active.
What can you exclude?
The available options depend on your CRM, but commonly include:
Contacts
You can exclude contacts who are:
Marked as Do Not Contact
Opted out of email communications
Existing customers
Companies
You can also exclude companies that:
Are existing customers
Have active sales opportunities
When a company is excluded, Perlon will also prevent outreach to the associated contacts where possible.
How syncing works
After the initial setup, Perlon keeps your exclusion list up to date automatically.
This means:
New qualifying contacts are added to your exclusion list.
Newly excluded companies are reflected in future campaigns.
Prospects who become excluded while enrolled in a campaign are automatically prevented from receiving further outreach.
Workspace administrators can also manually trigger a sync at any time from the CRM settings page.
Manual exclusion lists
Do Not Contact Sync works alongside Perlon's manual exclusion lists. Your manual exclusions are never replaced or removed by CRM syncing. If a contact appears in both lists, they will remain excluded.
What happens if I change my rules?
You can update your exclusion rules at any time. After saving your changes, Perlon will use the updated rules during the next sync. Changes only affect future syncing and campaign activity.
If your CRM becomes disconnected
If your CRM connection is lost, Do Not Contact Sync will stop until the connection has been restored. Workspace administrators will be notified so the integration can be reconnected. Once the connection is restored, syncing will resume automatically.
