Part 7: CRM Integration FAQs

Overview

Below are answers to some of the most common questions about CRM integrations in Perlon.

Can I connect more than one CRM?

No.

Each Perlon workspace can have one active CRM connection at a time.

If you want to use a different CRM, you'll need to disconnect your current integration before connecting a new one.

Which CRMs does Perlon support?

Perlon currently supports:

  • HubSpot

  • Salesforce

  • Pipedrive

  • Zoho CRM

You can learn more about each integration in our Supported CRM Integrations guide.

Do I need administrator access to connect a CRM?

Yes.

Only workspace administrators can connect or disconnect a CRM.

You may also need permission within your CRM to authorise third-party integrations.

Does Perlon automatically import all of my CRM contacts?

No.

Perlon only imports prospects when you choose to do so from within a campaign. Your CRM remains the source of truth, allowing you to decide exactly which lists, views or filters to use.

Can I import companies or deals?

No.

Perlon imports individual people only. Companies and opportunities are not imported as standalone records.

Will Perlon create duplicate records in my CRM?

No.

When CRM Sync is enabled, Perlon attempts to match prospects to existing CRM records before creating new ones. This helps reduce duplicate contacts wherever possible.

What is CRM Sync?

CRM Sync allows Perlon to write campaign activity back to your CRM. Depending on your CRM, this can include:

  • Emails sent

  • Opens

  • Link clicks

  • Replies

  • LinkedIn activity

  • WhatsApp activity

  • Phone calls

  • Warm Lead status

Do I have to enable CRM Sync?

No.

CRM Sync is optional. You can choose whether to enable it each time you import prospects into a campaign. If CRM Sync is disabled, campaign activity remains within Perlon only.

What happens if my CRM connection is lost?

If your CRM connection expires or is disconnected:

  • CRM imports become unavailable.

  • Campaign activity stops syncing to your CRM.

  • Do Not Contact Sync pauses until the connection is restored.

Workspace administrators will be notified so the connection can be re-established.

Does Perlon continuously sync my CRM?

No.

Perlon only communicates with your CRM when required, such as:

  • Importing prospects you've selected.

  • Syncing campaign activity.

  • Updating Do Not Contact exclusions.

Perlon does not continuously import or update CRM records in the background.

Can I manually exclude prospects from campaigns?

Yes.

Perlon's manual exclusion lists work independently of your CRM integration. These exclusions remain active even if your CRM is disconnected.

What is Do Not Contact Sync?

Do Not Contact Sync allows Perlon to automatically exclude contacts and companies based on rules configured in your CRM. This helps prevent outreach to:

  • Existing customers

  • Contacts marked as Do Not Contact

  • Contacts who have opted out of email

  • Companies with active sales opportunities

Can I change my Do Not Contact rules later?

Yes.

Workspace administrators can update the rules at any time from the CRM settings page. Future synchronisations will use the updated rules.

Does Perlon delete or modify my CRM data?

No.

Perlon does not delete contacts, companies or opportunities from your CRM. It only imports prospects that you choose to add and, when CRM Sync is enabled, records campaign activity against the appropriate CRM records.
