Mailboxes - Reconnecting Your Mailbox

This article explains why some mailboxes need a quick reconnect, and how to do it in under 30 seconds per mailbox

Overview

We've upgraded how Perlon AI connects to Gmail and Outlook. This improves inbox placement, so more of your emails land in the inbox rather than spam.

Mailboxes that Perlon AI manages on your behalf have already been moved over automatically. Mailboxes you connected yourself need a quick reconnect from you, since only you can grant access to your own account.

NOTE: Your campaigns keep running throughout this process, and nothing is lost.

How to Reconnect a Mailbox

Step 1 - Start the Reconnect

  1. Open Mailboxes from the main menu

  2. Find the mailbox you need to reconnect (the three-dot button will be visible)

  3. Click the three-dot button next to the mailbox

  4. Select either Upgrade Connection or Reconnect, depending on which option appears for that mailbox

NOTE: Which option you see depends on your mailbox list. Either one takes you through the same permissions flow below.

Step 2 - Grant Access

Clicking either option redirects you to your provider's permissions screen.

If you use Gmail:

  1. A Sign in with Google screen will appear, showing the permissions Perlon AI is requesting

  2. Click Allow

If you use Outlook:

  1. You'll likely be asked to log in again

  2. Accept the terms to complete the connection

IMPORTANT: Only click Allow or accept terms on the official Google or Microsoft sign-in screens. Perlon AI will never ask for your password directly.

Step 3 - Repeat for Each Mailbox

Repeat the steps above for every mailbox on your list that needs reconnecting.

NOTE: If you're not sure which of your mailboxes need reconnecting, check with your Perlon AI contact or reach out through live chat (bottom right of the screen).
